Caleway Hotel - Vila Nova de Gaia

The hotel features a charming blend of historical architecture and modern amenities.

I experienced some issues with the air conditioning in my room, especially during warmer weather. It was disappointing that the breakfast did not cater well to diverse dietary needs, lacking sufficient vegetarian options. I also found the immediate area somewhat uninviting, which affected my overall enjoyment of the hotel's location.

The location was stunning and incredible, for example, a double-deck metal arch bridge was within walking distance of the hotel. It was located in a very beautiful area next to many nice bars and restaurants and sightseeing places, and the numerous restaurants on the river front.

The room we booked was bright and immaculate with a view. It had coffee and tea making equipment, and a refrigerator.

The really good staff service, particularly their personalized dining recommendations, significantly enhanced my stay.

The only downside was the limited selection of bathroom amenities, quite basic and did not meet the standards I've experienced in other similar hotels.

The rooms are spacious with stylish designs. The super nice team. Breakfast selection was solid but could use more vegan options. Best part? Just a short walk to the river and amazing views of Porto!

The superior room was spacious, with a fine view of the city skyline. Breakfast offered a delicious variety, including scrambled eggs and mini-croissants, a highlight. The hotel's architectural design, with its beautiful open atrium and lovely garden, really added to the experience.

Couples getaway made special

The design of the interiors is quite excellent, it's all about that soothing vibe that makes you feel at home. The rooftop bar offered an amazing view of the river while enjoying a drink with my partner.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but acceptable considering the experience.

Charming ambiance, pleasant staff, the hotel features a well-equipped bar/lounge area for relaxation and is conveniently located just a short walk from the General Torres Metro station, making it easy to explore the surrounding attractions.

The rooms were stylish and comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety, like tasty mini-croissants and eggs. I loved the beautiful open atrium and friendly staff.

Breakfast was plentiful, with a good selection, including the delicious cinnamon rolls. The lack of a kettle in the room was a minor inconvenience, and while breakfast had variety, some items could be enhanced. The immediate surroundings can seem dated, but the hotel's ambiance makes up for it.

Superb room with air conditioning, coffee machine, and a fantastic balcony view. Great breakfast with plenty of options, like pastries and hot food. The garden area is quiet and perfect. Super nice team, even providing a kettle. The location isn't touristy but close to restaurants.
